Patreon always kind of bothered me because it is just telling content creator's viewers to just give them money so they don't have to get a really job or spend their own money. I mean why don't they just have a Paypal button and tell people click there if you want to support? But what really irked me today to make this post was when I saw this video.

In case you can't click on the video, it is Petedorr's new Patreon pitch. I just don't understand why he of all people would start resorting to Patreon. I mean, isn't that why he went back to college again to get a second degree? So he can get a degree that will actually land him a stable job and not resort to Patreon.
Also as the guy that is know for videos showing what games he got, wouldn't it be hypocritical to show what games he got with money that literally came out of the pockets of the people watching said video. I don't know but it really irked me big time to see Petedorr lower himself to the Patreon bar. I mean I liked his videos because he was always doing it because he wanted to do it but to now see this. |

Yeah I also get kind of turned off by patreon. Asking for donations is something I have come to terms with because hosting files anywhere outside of youtube costs money for the most part, but the idea of committing to a reoccurring donation subscription is baffling. |
