Just wanted to mention that we are in the pre-launch phase for Gaming on Batteries Magazine (the official launch is 6 pm CST July 20th). Interested parties can purchase a copy of either the digital or print (with free digital because we don't want fans to have to wait) on Magcloud.com right now.

http://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/416376

The first issue features reviews for:

Kid Icarus: Uprising on 3DS
Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D on 3DS
Rayman Origins on PS Vita
Transformers G1: Awakening on iOS
Virtua Tennis Challenge on Android
Kid Dracula on Game Boy

and these features:

Portables at E3
8 Essential Game Boy Games

Much like the website for GoB, the magazine covers iOS, Android, 3DS, PS Vita and more. For more on the website check out http://www.gamingonbatteries.com

Gaming on Batteries is a subsidiary of Scenic 7 Media Group. Interested members of the media can contact me at cwilliams@scenic7pr.com for copies of the digital magazine, interview inquiries and/or advertising opportunities.[img][/img]

Looks great Carl! Glad to see you got a magazine together. I know thats something you have really been working towards. When the summer sales end on steam (3 days from now?) I'll be picking it up on pdf. It will be nice to have it to read at work. Congratz Carl!

Thanks CF, GoB has been on the back burner since shortly before the site launched this last February. The original idea was for RGM to launch last December, GoB in February and well, can't reveal EVERYTHING at once. lol

Check your e-mail by the way...

Issue #3 of Gaming on Batteries is now available.

Contents:
Tribute to Dead Portables Part One (Atari Lynx didn't fare too well)
The Walking Dead on iPad Review
PSP Horror Titles Feature
Carnival Comics History Article

This issue is our first in "digest" format which offers a couple of benefits versus the full size releases of the first two issues. First, the print is now small enough to fit in most 7 inch tablet protective cases and should fit in any 10 inch tablets protective case (why have a gaming magazine about portables if it is not portable itself?). Second, on 7 and 10 inch tablets, each page will display full screen without requiring the reader to pan left and right or up and down to read a full page (scrolling is still required to switch pages).

Issue #3 is also 40 pages long versus the previous versions being 20 pages each. We also have removed all ads from the magazine, they weren't adding anything to the content and weren't paying enough to bother with anyhow. Print ads were placed based on ad sales on the site, we have decided to take those pages and put content on them instead.
