|
|
I just found out about this game today but it was announced in November of 2010. It is a brand new translated Sega Genesis/Mega Drive RPG game that is going to be released in a cart with manual and casing included. The new game is called Star Odyssey and it is being distributed by the same team, Super Fighter Team, that produced Beggar Prince and Legend of Wukong. I cannot wait to get my hands on this game but I will have to wait since it said that the game will be released in early 2011 but I doubt it will be released that early. For more information about the game, follow the link below. Man, first Pier Solar finally gets released after 6 years in development and now this. I cannot wait but I hope if there is another new game for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive that it is not an RPG because we are only getting RPGs and nothing else new for the Sega Genesis.

I agree with you man I'd love to see more than RPGs being released. I'm excited as hell about my copy of Pier Solar that's on its way though. _________________ www.mondocoolcast.com

What I love is the PC Engine getting some RPG love too later this year/early next. There is quite the resurgence in new retro titles. _________________ |

Never thought Blue Almanac/Star Odyssey looked all that great to begin with, neat it's getting a release though.

The two PC Engine RPG's that I know about are not Super Fighter Team productions. They are by another development house, one of their RPG's was picked up by Hudson Soft, well before Konami bought them out and closed them down that is.
I guess it is safe to say that the game in question was Neutopia III and it could still be getting a release on the WiiWare service when finished. I mean, Konami is bringing out an official release of Policenauts on PSN later this year, I heard around that scary time of year.
Jerry, I will shoot you the link soon. Have to find it again. It is a pretty cool RPG, there is a demo of it available and pre-orders were open, last I checked. _________________ |

I just got my copy of this game today. However I ordered this game way back in the first week of July 2011 and Super Fighter Team announced after they released it that there were shortages of the game but now that they finally sent the second batch of the game, I can finally give me opinions of it. It is actually pretty good but I only played about 15 minutes of it right now so I will get more into it on the weekend. However, this game does feel like an actual RPG made by an actual developer and even though I really liked Pier Solar, it felt like an RPG Maker project while this game actually feels like a professionally made RPG. So people who were disappointed in Pier Solar or liked Pier Solar should definitely pick this game up. |
