We still don't have the server control but I think enough time has passed were we need to get everyone back in the doom mood. this will be a simple invation game and it won't be till next month because I am almost sertain that not everyone who wants to come has skulltag up to date or at all.
Blah Blah Blah, ITS TIME TO BANG SUM MO DEMONDS WERE BACK

Here is the prize for the next official Doom Night competition:
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Keeping with the Doom theme of prizes (the first prize offered up was the 3 1/2 inch floppy shareware version of Doom 1), this prize is the strategy guide for Doom II. It is a little worn, as the pic shows, but it is complete. Get in there and compete and win this prize!
Right now, the only copy available on Ebay is listed at $14.95, or you can win the next Doom Night and get your own copy with your skills! _________________ <img src="http://www.gamersgate.com/ggtagi/2557041" width="225" height="198" border="0" alt="GG Tag"> |

A thought occurred, these days skype is getting less and less stable. I am wondering if we should try something else for doom night. But then again, that may be a pain for some people. What do you all think?
p.s. CF on ep 60 you were wondering what kind of game we are playing but if you look back I already said from the start. _________________ Sadly I think I've lost this avatar's image file |

Depends on who and how many show up. For simplicity sake we could meet on skype then go somewhere else. What other voice options do we have? Also, we could just use in game text. |

No one is gonna wanna type chat to much it stops them from moving. There is no doubt we will be signed into skype at the very least but Darabka was talking about some alternative post D&D 2 with me and Shintia _________________ Sadly I think I've lost this avatar's image file |

There is Google Voice and these others:
http://icall.com/
http://www.voipbuster.com/en/index.html
In all honesty though, with Skulltag being updated at random like it is and being hard for many to setup and get working, changing from something familiar like Skype is just going to push more people away from coming.
We need to work on having only people actually playing in the Skype conversation. It cuts down on possible problems within Skype and keeps everyone focused on the game at hand. If there is interest, have someone setup a recording of the conversation or something, similar to the D&D Night recordings.
If we are going with another voice program then I will probably just skip the night altogether. Reason being, I have a ton of software on my PC as it is and it is hard enough keeping everything running well enough to use it (review copies, bad installations, software I hardly use, etc cause various problems on Windows XP). There would have to be an extremely clear cut advantage to going with something other than Skype for me to partake in it.
Just my two cents. _________________ <img src="http://www.gamersgate.com/ggtagi/2557041" width="225" height="198" border="0" alt="GG Tag"> |
