Just wanted to let everyone know here, since most of the guys I interact with daily come here, that I am going to be off the net for awhile starting this weekend. Me and my fiancée are moving into our new place on Friday (and will be moving all weekend not leaving much time to interact online). We won't have Internet access for awhile, not because of money but because there is a 6 to 8 week waiting period in the area we are moving to (6 weeks for DSL at 12 megs a second or so and up to 8 weeks for cable Internet at about 75 megs a second-guess which one I want).
Anyhow, as most of you know, there is this little thing known as the Phoenix promotion. As far as I know, as of this writing, that event will be taking place in late December/early January (scheduling is a bitch with some of the guests for the shows while others are ready to go now-waiting for the ringleader to pull the trigger and give the go ahead). I will, sadly, probably miss this event. I am not happy about it, actually quite upset honestly (I have worked on this for the last 3 years and to know I will miss the culmination/fallout of that work, it is slightly disheartening to say the least). The show must go on though, it is life and personally, so worth missing to be in a better place that will allow me to run Scenic, Video Game Cowboys (with my partner, Nick, from The Retro League and the other endeavors I have in the cooker).
I know, while I will be gone during the big unveil (unless it goes horribly wrong between now and then), I know, that the event is in the best hands, those of the hosts of the shows that have been contacted and arrangements made with your guests. Rock on guys.
The future is within your reach. Stretch your arm out and take hold of it and don't let ANYONE take it from you, now or ever.
