Not many, outside of TRL and CF here, know that there are plans to take the S7 brand a little farther, outside of PR but still firmly in gaming. We recently started a forum for this new endeavor called Scenic 7 Media Group (it is growing as some key members of various podcasts know).
http://s7mg.freeforums.org is the web address. Things are pretty bare right now since we are focusing more on getting the staff logged in and going in the direction they need to go. Figured I would post a link to the forums for those interested.
The first publication, of a planned trilogy, to make it to press will be Retro Gaming Monthly. RGM is focusing on retro gaming (hence the name, ironic huh?) and was originally based on the "Today in History" articles that we do at Video Game Cowboys. We have since toned it back a little bit from being the whole magazine solely based on what was released that month in history to that being a segment of the magazine with the other content being themed around historical data.
RGM will be a monthly publication available in print and digital PDF forms for a nominal fee. We plan to offer it on several services, at least the PDF, which should help spread the fanbase of the magazine. The print edition will only be available from MagCloud, a popular print on demand service that only prints when an issue sells. This is the best method we could come up with that would allow print and digital without an investment of nearly $35,000 up front for a fulfillment house to handle the print edition (someday we will be changing over to this format though not right off).
We will be offering a special "press issue" of RGM for members of the media to check out. If anyone is a member of the press and interested in receiving a copy of what is basically "Issue 0" then just let me know either here or through e-mail at retrogamingmonthly@gmail.com
CF, you are already on the list, no need to express interest. _________________ <img src="http://www.gamersgate.com/ggtagi/2557041" width="225" height="198" border="0" alt="GG Tag"> |

Well I signed up. Hope to see a turn out in those forums since this forum seems to be dying already. I just hope that the TCR forums do not get deleted similar to what happened to the G and DB forums. |

The RGM forums will be getting a lot of attention the closer we get to the first issue releasing. We have advertising agreements in place that will have the magazine/site/forums reaching nearly 6 to 8 million people in late December into January when we launch the first issue.
We have the talent staff filled and have moved into promotions and filling PR positions with the company. Have to weed out a lot of fluff since word got out that we are paying staff (apparently not many sites/magazines do that anymore). _________________ <img src="http://www.gamersgate.com/ggtagi/2557041" width="225" height="198" border="0" alt="GG Tag"> |
