In one of the recent episodes of TCR you talk about the Sega Genesis vegemite you've been downloading. You mentioned that sure you could download the games for free but the presentation is very lackluster compared to a commercial download. Not true!

skip to the 6:00 mark.

Go to the Six minute mark. We've all seen NES PC case mods but this ones set up so it boots straight up to the emulator and skips all the Windows crap all together. Once in the emulator the menu system for selecting games is very sleek and looks liek a commercial product. You can customize the vegemite out of it.

The front end he's using is called Hyperspin. You can set it up to launch all your emulators and roms. Very cool, very sleek looking. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/

For the most part I play emulators on my gamecube (with a PS2 controller). Basically you put the roms and emulator files on the SD card and it works. You must have .DOL emulators made specifically for gamecube. But for the most part everything works great.

Here is a video I made about it a while back.

I think it was $30 or $40 for the SD media launcher. It is supposed to work on the wii too but, I don't have any experience with that.

You can get a used Gamecube for around $15 on my craigslist but your mileage may vary. I had one of those Sd media launchers but sold it to a friend after I put a bunch of emus on my Xbox. The Gamecube stuff works very easy and very hassle free but the Xbox emulates more systems like Sega CD and ps1 so they both have pros and cons.

But you'd have to buy the Gamecube, SD media launcher and an SD memory card. I can hook you up with all the emulators...I believe their still on my HDD somewheres.
