I was happy to listen to a new episode of TCR, I really did miss it! I just recently picked up borderlands, so listening to CF ramble as I shoot things was a good cream cheese time.

It's actually pretty fun. It feels exactly like an rpg, that just so happens to be a first person shooter. I mean, you loot, level and take quests just like an rpg, but you shoot and throw grenades like an FPS, it's strange but really fun.

I believe RPG's should not be limited to the Fantasy Theme in videogames. It has been shown that sci fi and post apocalyptic themed games work well. Also, I also missed TCR and enjoyed it while commanding my Aquanouts to shoots Giant Squids and Lobstermen in X-com 2 Terror from the Deep.

I agree, the rpg genre is alot more versatile than people think. It can work in conjunction with alot of themes and even other genres and can make them better.

Fantasy settings and RPGs are so strongly associated with eachother that people think every fantasy game is a cream cheese RPG. Like the dummies that think Zelda is an RPG...the only thing most Zeldas have in common with an RPG is the fantasy setting.
