I just saw the video Walker posted yesterday about the status of The Nostalgia Critic and all I can say is finally!

I know it may be mean to be happy for a character to die but I am so glad that Walker finally abandoned that character. To me, the Nostalgia Critic was almost at equal levels of hilarity as the AVGN. However, similar to the nerd, his videos started to suck as well when the technical quality started getting better and the scripts were forcing way too much swearing and dumb jokes.

Except the Nostalgia Critic I think took even a harder fall because where the nerd was making a new video every month, the Nostalgia Critic was making one every week. So with the rapid decline in quality also came useless and awkward cameo or co-host appearances from other Channel Awesome staff as.

Now I don't know about you but I especially hated those episodes. Not only because I think that the Nostalgia Critic best worked alone but that it felt as if Walker had to stuff even more forced jokes just to also make the co-host funny as well. Also it did not help that the last couple of Nostalgia Critic episodes done has a Channel Awesome staff member in it which really annoyed me.

However, all I can say is that I am glad that character is dead so I don't have to see anymore terrible reviews. But looking back the Nostalgia Critic was one of a kind and am glad that the character can now rest in peace. Now I am just hoping the AVGN is next after the horrible movie that is coming out.

Oh no! Now who will tell me if "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" was a good show or not!?

Hopefully he can take the entire lot from TGWTG/Blistered Thumbs/Channel Awesome/Spoony/Cinemassacre/etc (Sans Brad Jones) back to internet obscurity with him.

I'm sure he will return as that character as a special video although not for a long time.

For the record, none of NC's cross over episodes were nearly as bad as the AVGN/Pat episode.
