True, but I don't think we necessarily need an excuse to get together and play. Also, Doom Night is like, a public thing. It might be fun to test a few things out in the mean time.

Some of these survival servers I have been playing on seem to be a face to the finish in a way. (Not to mention die your out) Is that how we would win the round if you decided to go with survival?

If we went with survival that's how it would go. Last man standing wins the match, most matches in the allotted hour wins with tournament.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I suck at Survival but I guess everyone does really though. lol Levels the playing field somewhat.

You know if I had to vote I would say another death match. Survival is intense and has different missions for the maps, it could be big lets not rush into it. Besides not a lot of people got to try the death match. (or at least not on doom night)

Maybe your right. In other news, I have been messing around with what kind of maps to play. Apparently the maps DNIII was played on are the stranded deathmatch maps that come in the Doom2.wad. I have found a series of wads made with alternate deathmatch maps called "Dwango". I don't know what that's supposed to mean, but I grabbed dwango4.wad off of the net and it seems like a pretty fun series of maps. If I decide to use those for DNIV, the zip will be posted on the website. However, dwango wads seem to be pretty popular on Doom websites, so if you REALLY wanted to tinker with it as soon as possible, i'm sure you could just google dwango4.wad and grab a copy from anywhere. It's like a 500k file. Super small and easy to download.

As you can tell, I could really care less what mode we play. I'm more interested in running a game on a private server and how to use different maps, as well as what maps to use.

I agree with CF, I am not too concerned with what mode we play, I mean, I am going to bring hell on high water down on my opponents (would you want it any other way?).

Currently, Saturdays are a no go for me, unless it is after 10 pm Central Time. I have to work till 9, get home at about 9:40 (gotta love commuting) and eat and shower.

I don't mind giving everyone a head start though, I mean, Cendoo, I had your number in DN III....

I am off on Thursdays and Fridays. I do have the option to swap days once in awhile so if there will be more competition on Saturday, I am all for it.

I am a late comer anyhow, only having made it to Doom Night III so far.
